Ombudsman awards non-governmental organizations and initiatives for consistent human rights protection efforts
Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets awarded ten human rights coalitions and organizations for their consistent human rights protection efforts at the inaugural meeting of the Advisory Council on December 10. In particular, Ukraine 5 AM Coalition and the Coalition of NGOs for Protection of the Rights of Persons Affected by Armed Aggression against Ukraine, whose member is Human Rights Centre ZMINA, received the award.

- Charity Organization “SOS Children’s Towns Ukraine”
“Thank you very much for your efforts. We keep working,” Lubinets said.
As a reminder, Ukraine 5 AM Coalition is a network of 31 Ukrainian NGOs and individual experts who collect evidence of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Russia. The Coalition is called “5 AM” because it was at this hour on February 24, 2022, when the war began in Ukraine. The Coalition aims to protect the survivors of Russian aggression and hold the organizers and perpetrators of these crimes to account.
The Coalition of NGOs for Protection of the Rights of Persons Affected by Armed Aggression against Ukraine has been helping Ukrainians since 2014 when Russia began committing its first war crimes in Ukraine. Its members are Charity Foundation “Right to Protection”, Civil Holding “GROUP OF INFLUENCE”, Human Rights Centre ZMINA, Donbas SOS, CrimeaSOS, Charity Foundation “Stabilization Support Services”, East SOS, Crimean Human Rights Group.
