Ombudsman thanks ZMINA for cooperation in 2023
On December 20, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets thanked partners, charity organizations and civil society representatives who help the Office of the Commissioner in the field of human rights. ZMINA was commended for its systematic efforts to defend human rights and freedoms, and the organization’s advocacy director Alena Lunova received an honorary diploma.
“By joint efforts with many powerful, caring, professional and expert organizations, we helped people: distributed kits for newborn babies, helped internally displaced persons, provided tablets for returned children and children from low-income families, helped with counseling, collected packages of documents, organized events to help the families of service members, prisoners of war, civilian hostages and deported children and much more,” Lubinets said.
Alena Lunova thanked the Office of the Ombudsman and noted that it was very important for human rights defenders and representatives of the authorities to unite and cooperate for the sake of joint victory in the conditions of war.
