She graduated from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. In 2016, she defended her dissertation on “Procedural position of the victim during the pre-trial investigation” and obtained a PhD in Law.
Since 2016, she has been teaching at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, such courses as “Criminal Procedure”, “European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and Legal Practice”, and others.
In 2018, she obtained a license to practise law and since then has been practising in the field of family, civil and criminal law.
In 2023, she was promoted to Associate Professor.
Since 2025, she has been a monitor of the National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) against torture and cruel treatment in Ukraine, based on the “Ombudsman+” model. As part of her monitoring activities, she regularly visits places of detention.
Since May 2025, she has been an expert for the Council of Europe project “Support in the Implementation of the European Human Rights Standards in Ukraine: Phase II”, particularly in the project aimed at improving the NPM in Ukraine.
Since September 2024, she has been a member of the ZMINA team, where she conducts research related to the protection of the right to respect for human dignity in Ukraine; ensuring the right to legal aid for persons held in places of detention; the inadmissibility of torture; the implementation of the right to compensation and rehabilitation; fundamental legal guarantees, etc.
Within the framework of the project, she presented the Alternative Report to the UN Committee Against Torture on Ukraine’s implementation of its international obligations under the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment at the 82nd session of the UN Committee Against Torture in April 2025.
