Iryna graduated from the National Pedagogical Drahomanov University (now the Ukrainian State University), but never worked as a teacher because she became interested in journalism.
She started her career at Ukrinform – Ukrainian National News Agency (2013-2015) and later worked as a website editor at NV and TSN.ua.
At the end of 2024, Iryna joined the team of the Human Rights Centre ZMINA.
