Author of a series of materials on human rights and corrupt activities of officials.
Mykola Myrny: “My heart sometimes marvels at how violent the world it lives in is. At the same time, it sees that this world is unique. This world is chaotic, dynamic, brutal, and yet full of love and inspiration.
I was once detained by the police for the right to ask questions. Do you think that corruption and authoritarianism will make my heart not ask questions? No, it is too stubborn to compromise the freedom to ask questions.
My heart associates itself with the quotation of Mahatma Gandhi: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” And my heart is ready not to give up for the sake of this.
Do you think that human rights are boring? Then you either do not understand what it is, or are more naive than my heart. I welcome you in this world, the world where the human rights are the only way to understand yourself.“
