Serhii Kochmarskyi
Member of the Board
Journalist, human rights defender, officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He graduated from the Faculty of Cultural Studies at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, specialising in ethnocultural studies. He studied Biblical studies at the Thomas Aquinas Institute of Religious Sciences in Kyiv.
He wrote for Kharkiv-based outlets vgorode.kharkiv.ua and 057.ua. From 2017 to 2024, he managed social media communications for the Human Rights Centre ZMINA, and since 2022 has been involved in documenting war crimes.
From 2024 to 2025, he served as a Communications Officer in the 61st Separate Mechanised Steppe Brigade.
Since 2026, he has been working as a communications specialist at the Office of the Military Ombudsman.
He is interested in everything related to the history and theory of culture, theology, and music.
